If you want to test skills out, host a multiplayer lan server and type lua_run Debug() in console.īots are super tough to do in such a gamemode, I don't think I'm gonna be adding those. This mod won't work with bots, nor will it work singleplayer properly. If anything is unclear, ask! (sorry if it is, I blame it on english not being my first language instead of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ explanation skills). Want to know how to play the game? Check out the "Help" image. If anything happens, be sure to report it! Thanks. It's the first gamemode that I ever released and it was tested with one person only, so I'm sure some sneaky bugs might occur more likely with more people on the server. Gamemode inspired by Smash (bros), with my own twist put on it. I'll try to do some updates here and there but don't expect a lot. I'm shifting my focus from this gamemode. If you can't figure out how to select them, look at the video and if you don't know how to use them look in the help image above. Rating this 5/10.You can use spells in this gamemode, I've seen many people playing without them. I just can’t help but think what someone who has no experience with the Dropzone universe would think of this starter as a stand alone product. The art on the original is awesome, and if they reused the cover artwork for Dropfleet they might as well done it here too. The box cover is rather cheap looking too. I understand due to the high cost of paper and maybe the effects of Brexit, including more paper items would have costed more to produce, and you can still get scenery in an additional purchase, but I would have paid more for a set that included everything. I always feel every army should have an HQ. The one thing this version does beat the previous edition on is including Command units and their transport, which is a nice touch. Now, the additional units and story info is available online for free, but it robs the starter from being an exciting peak into a new universe. It also contains no army lists or unit information except what is included on the reference sheet for the units included in the game. ![]() The rulebook is an updated one, but strips out most of the fluff that’s been built on the last 10 years across 4 rulebooks and expansions. Now the TTCombat version contains all of the models in the Hawk Wargames starter, but lite on everything else, and does not include any of the terrain the Hawk Wargames set included. That being said this really appeared to be a labor of love and I am really happy to have this set. It’s a level of entrepreneurship I rarely see. I was so impressed with this that I looked into who the designer was, and found that he, Dave Lewis, was not just responsible for the design of the minis and the rules, but also the photography in the rulebook (already a hobby of his) and he painted all the minis that appear in it. Most games today focus on models only but I am a huge fan of getting everything you need for a demo game right out of the box, and this version delivers all of that. It’s about as complete of a starter set I can ask for. I was pretty impressed by it, mostly due to the quality of the components from the rulebook to the accessories to the models to the starter terrain. I was super late to the Dropzone scene and only got the original Hawk Wargames version about a year ago. I just got the newer Dropzone starter set from TTCombat and thought I would do a compare between the two.
